two:nineteen exists to help local churches embrace the nations by promoting Christian engagement between members of local UK churches and nationals living in their communities. This is encouraged through English language teaching activities and other means of stimulating cultural integration.

Springboard has been pivotal in the development of the project within Reading through funding which has financed a part time Administrator, Andrea White, for the project. Through the English Language classes we seek to provide students with quality conversational classes taught by qualified teachers. We also offer the opportunity for every student to hear the good news about Jesus and to know authentic friendship.

Ania says, "In 2009 I had a little boy and Bridges provided a crèche so I was able to continue with my English learning. It was cheap (£1 an hours and 50p for the crèche). There was a really friendly atmosphere. It isn't just a school; it is more like a family. I was able to meet people from many different countries which has helped with my pronunciation."

Having started Christianity explored she commented, "The biggest surprise for me in studying the Bible is that I am beginning to understand it. Even when I read the Bible in my own language it didn't make any sense."

Ania has just started her a job working as an Accounts Administrator and loves every minute of it.

For us at two:nineteen one of the wonderful things about this part of the project is the holistic benefits brought about through studying English.
