We are very grateful to Springboard as they gave us our first grant and really got us off the ground and encouraged us to proceed.

We sold our old pipe organ and were delighted when it went to a very good home in North Denmark, rather than going for spares or scrap. In its place the coffee bar was built, including an all-singing, all-dancing coffee machine from Kingdom Coffee.

Since then we have added an accessible toilet (now twinned with one in Zambia) with money from RBC Capital Building Works fund. We have been really amazed at how well the cafe has taken off, with more people coming in each week and the children can't wait to get in. One mother said to me 'It's the best one & a half hours of the week. I can sit here and relax over a Cappuccino, while my sons play happily without fighting.’ She was heavily pregnant at the time!

The Lord has been so good to us, providing the money by way of grants and gifts, and He even made the sun shine every Wednesday we were open for many, many weeks, so that we could have the doors wide open to look more welcoming & inviting!
